A British man recognized for having the world’s largest penis recently suffered a serious injury after slipping in the shower — a mishap he attributes to the size of his own anatomy.
Matt Barr, an artificial intelligence specialist based in London, fractured his arm and shoulder after falling while trying to get ready for work. According to Barr, the incident occurred because the size of his penis obstructed his view of the floor, causing him to miss a patch of spilled shower gel.
The 43-year-old says the injury was both painful and embarrassing. “I’ve had close calls or minor falls before, but never anything this severe,” he told Jam Press. He sustained two fractures and was left wearing a sling during recovery.
Barr has gained international attention for reportedly having the world’s largest penis, measuring 14.5 inches. A plaster cast of his genitalia is even on display at the Icelandic Phallological Museum. He also details the challenges of his unique anatomy in his memoir, A Long Story: Life With One of the World’s Largest Penises.
The accident has prompted Barr to make safety changes in his daily routine. He now uses a non-slip bathmat and avoids rushing through his morning routine. “Showering quickly is just not an option anymore,” he said.
This is not the first time Barr has encountered difficulties due to his size. In a previous incident at a resort, a pool manager reportedly asked him to leave because the outline of his penis was too prominent — despite wearing compression shorts beneath his swimwear. He now avoids public resorts in favor of more secluded destinations.
Beyond physical obstacles, Barr says he’s also been the subject of bizarre requests, including being asked to be drawn as a sexualized cartoon giant — a reflection of the fetish known as macrophilia.
While Barr has no plans to monetize his notoriety through platforms like OnlyFans, he says having the world’s largest penis has significantly shaped his lifestyle. “It’s just one of those things people don’t consider when they hear about the world’s largest penis — it’s not always a gift,” he said.
