A South Florida man has filed a lawsuit against a Central Florida airboat tour company after an alligator bit him in the face during an attraction last summer, according to court records.
The lawsuit states that Edil Kasenov visited Airboat Rides at Midway in Christmas, Florida, in June 2025 and participated in the company’s free “Alligator Encounter” experience.
According to the complaint, an alligator bit him in the face during the encounter, resulting in injuries that required hospitalization and caused permanent disfigurement.
Kasenov alleges that the company was negligent in its handling of the animal and failed to provide adequate safety measures. The lawsuit claims there were no warning signs or notices about the potential danger posed by the alligator. It also alleges that the animal was not properly restrained and that sufficient precautions were not taken to protect visitors.
Court documents state that the alligator bit him while he was participating in the attraction. The lawsuit further argues that the business failed to maintain a reasonably safe environment for guests.
As a result of the incident, Kasenov is seeking more than $50,000 in damages. The case remains pending.
