ALTAMONTE SPRINGS, Florida — A man from Altamonte Springs Florida was arrested Tuesday after investigators discovered hidden recordings on his cellphone, according to the Seminole County Sheriff’s Office.
Authorities said the arrest followed a search warrant executed in February at a residence located at 1280 Amanda Street in Altamonte Springs Florida, a location known for its unusual roadside displays.
Deputies identified the suspect as 44-year-old Joseph “Joe” Voke. During the investigation, Voke allegedly admitted to creating voyeuristic videos using his phone in the bathroom of a Home Depot store at 3455 S. U.S. Hwy. 17-92 in Casselberry.
According to the arrest report, Voke told deputies he would place his phone with the camera exposed on the floor of a bathroom stall, aiming it toward adjacent stalls in an attempt to record unsuspecting male victims. He stated the videos involved adults only.
Investigators recovered Voke’s phone from the master bedroom, where they found nine videos depicting men in various states of undress. The videos were reportedly recorded between July 2024 and February 2025.
Authorities were able to identify four individuals from the footage. While all were unaware they had been recorded, only one victim chose to pursue charges.
Voke was taken into custody on Tuesday and is facing one count of video voyeurism.
