Wicked Porn Site Has Huge Traffic Spike After URL Is Printed On Doll Packaging

Posted on November 12, 2024March 1, 2025 by Strange Days

The adult entertainment site Wicked has gained unexpected popularity, thanks to a recent mix-up on “Wicked” movie merchandise.

Toy company Mattel recently released dolls for “Wicked,” the upcoming film based on the hit Broadway musical, with two dolls inspired by the characters Glinda and Elphaba. However, on the back of the packaging, instead of linking to the official movie site, it mistakenly lists Wicked.com—a website owned by Wicked Pictures, a well-known producer of adult content dating back to 1993. The intended URL, wickedmovie.com, was left off the packaging entirely.

This accidental promotion led to a massive increase in traffic to the Wicked porn website, with visitor numbers spiking to levels unseen in over a decade. According to Variety, this surge began just last week, as sharp-eyed users noticed the error and began sharing it widely online.

Fans on social media quickly called out Mattel for the mistake. One Twitter user wrote, “Hey @Mattel, you’ve got the wrong Wicked link on your dolls! Wicked.com goes straight to a porn site!” Others expressed disbelief, joking about the accidental tie between the innocent dolls and the Wicked porn site.

The Wicked porn website, known for its adult parodies like “Captain Marvel XXX,” now finds itself in the spotlight, thanks to the accidental crossover with Mattel’s merchandise. While it’s unclear if Wicked Pictures plans to take advantage of the unexpected publicity, the timing couldn’t be better for them.

The first part of the “Wicked” movie is set to release on November 22, with stars like Ariana Grande and Cynthia Erivo bringing the story to life. Featuring a cast that includes Jonathan Bailey, Michelle Yeoh, and Jeff Goldblum, the adaptation has a budget of $145 million and promises to draw fans of the Broadway classic.

Meanwhile, Mattel faces some awkward questions over how this error happened and how such an adult content link ended up on a product geared toward a family audience.
